Scorpio New Moon and Mercury Cazimi

How has this Mercury Retrograde been going for you?

With Mercury reentering Scorpio during the final stretch of Scorpio season, this may be an intense time for some of us. Honestly, this time usually is.

Scorpio season is always penetrating. It wants to get to the core of things. It invites us to explore the darker, shadowy bits of ourselves—to look at power dynamics, truth, vulnerability, and intimacy in ways we don’t usually allow. And layered over that is the physical season we’re living in: autumn, the time of death and surrender.

Right now is a time for shedding.
A time for letting go.
A time for honest exploration of our patterns.

And as the nights grow longer each day, we’re invited to go deeper within. To explore our shadow. To witness the parts of ourselves we’ve kept hidden.

This is exactly the terrain we’re moving through inside Spiral Within this month, and goodness gracious, I have to give a shout-out to our incredible coven members this year. Y'all are so deeply self aware and ready for the depth this season brings. It's beautiful to witness this unfolding and I’m really looking forward to our New Moon Circle tomorrow night. 🌑

The deeper work here is not just to explore…

Not just to excavate.
Not just to see and know.

It is to let ourselves be loved in the places we’ve hidden.

To let shame loosen its grip simply by being witnessed—first by ourselves, and then by those we trust.

This theme has been alive in my personal life, too—shedding the masks both Travis and I still wear. The fear of being seen fully, in all of our mess. The places we’ve lied, first to ourselves. Taking accountability for unintentional harm caused. Cracking open the layers to find what deeper, more intimate truth lives underneath it all.

It’s been painful and beautiful and so aligned with the current astrology.

We’re in Scorpio season, yes—

but we’re not in just any part of it.

We are at 28 degrees Scorpio: the final, most potent, most alchemical degrees.
The moment of deep transformation before the fire of Sagittarius arrives with wisdom, direction, movement, and clarity. 🔥

🌑 Let This New Moon Be an Excavation

The amazing astrologer Chani Nicholas says she doesn’t use Scorpio New Moons to “set intentions.”
And honestly—I agree.

This isn’t the time to push or manifest.

It’s the time to peel back another layer.
To sit with what feels uncomfortable.
To get quiet and listen.

Not to manifest.
But to explore.
To be with.
To show love to the parts of yourself you’ve abandoned.

✨ The Astrological Players

☀️ Mercury Cazimi — Heart of the Sun

Mercury is exactly conjunct the Sun tomorrow—a Cazimi, meaning “in the heart of the Sun.”

A bright pinpoint of clarity in the middle of a murky Mercury Retrograde.

The Sun burns away the fog.
Suddenly… something clicks.

Because this is Scorpio clarity, that insight may come through:

  • emotional truths

  • shadow insights

  • intimacy realizations

  • power dynamics

  • hidden motives

  • desires or fears rising up to be named

🌑 Black Moon Lilith at 26° Scorpio

Lilith sits beside the Sun, Moon, and Mercury, adding her unmistakable medicine.

She embodies:

  • the parts of ourselves we’ve exiled

  • the parts we fear are “too much”

  • our shamed desires

  • the truths we were told to hide

  • the pieces of us that feel “unacceptable”

Lilith doesn’t want chaos—she wants integration.

Shadow becomes demonized only when ignored.
Seen and loved, she becomes power, equality, pleasure, freedom.

🌍 Uranus Retrograde in Taurus — Opposing It All

Across the sky, Uranus retrograde is shaking our foundations internally.

This is the “crack in the foundation” moment—the realization that some emotional ground we’ve built our lives on may not actually be stable.

But cracks let the light in. ✨

It’s destabilizing… but liberating.
A rupture… but also a release.

🌒 So What Do We Do With All This Intensity?

First: ground.

Come back into your body.
Slow down.
Breathe.
Meditate.
Take a bath (Scorpio is a water sign—let it hold you).
Light a candle.
Let the darkness be fertile instead of frightening.

And know this:

🌟 The astrology after this is actually quite sweet.

This New Moon is the final excavation before a much brighter month.

As we enter Sagittarius Season on Nov 21 and Mercury retrograde wraps up on Nov 29, the skies move into beautiful aspects with Venus, Saturn, and Jupiter, bringing:

  • sweetness

  • emotional relief

  • expansion

  • accountability

  • deeper connection

  • direction and hope

Let this moment be the clearing you need to embrace the beauty ahead.

🌑 Tonight, Let Yourself:

Listen.
Pause.
Share.
Be seen.
Let the parts you’ve hidden rise into the light.
Offer them love.

Let this Scorpio New Moon show you what is ready to transform
and what is ready to finally be reclaimed.

So much love and gratitude,
Rebecca Rose 🖤🕯️
