Hello Beautiful Soul,
Early this morning, the Aquarius Full Moon stood opposite the Leo Sun — and when they’re both shining in their purest, most generous selves, it’s like watching two dear friends cheering each other on across the cosmos.
Leo says: Tend your fire. Shine it, warm yourself in it, be unapologetically you.
Aquarius says: When you do that, you make space for others to do the same. Your light ripples outward and makes a lasting impact.
Up in the sky, the Moon is holding court with a beautiful harmony of other planets:
Mars in Libra is trying its best to walk the tightrope of fairness and diplomacy (begrudgingly…). Mars isn’t comfy here, but if we channel that Libra balance into our actions, we can work more harmoniously with others.
Neptune and Saturn retrograde in Aries bring dream-meets-structure vibes — but with the focus turned inward, urging reflection over outward push. What routines and foundations do we need to build or repair to support our wildest dreams?
Pluto in Aquarius, master of the deep, examines the bones and tests what’s strong versus what’s quietly rotting, so we know where to rebuild.
Uranus in Gemini is flinging open every window it can find — sometimes with a gentle breeze, sometimes with a gust that knocks over the vase. In exploring every perspective, we may find ourselves questioning foundational beliefs. The chaos this stirs could be the breakthrough we (and the world) need.
I mean just look at this beautiful blue diamond/kite of harmony! Even if this is nonsense to you, I hope you can see the balance and symmetry here (and my Astrology 101 PDF or free Chart Your Magic workshop can help!)
With so many of these planets hanging out at the very first degrees of their signs, there’s a freshness to this moment — a first page of a new chapter feeling. The kind where you pause with your pen poised, deciding exactly what you want to write.
Last night I gazed at the Moon while brainstorming this email, letting her guide what I wanted to share.
I use how the Moon moves through my Houses as personal reflection points throughout the year. Each month highlights a new area of life to explore and tend: self-expression (1st House), self-worth (2nd), friendships and communication (3rd), home life (4th), and so on.
Right now, the Sun is in my 2nd House, with the Moon reflecting its light from my 8th.
As I looked at her, I realized: even though I couldn’t see the Sun, its light was what I was gazing at. And it made me wonder — what is the Moon reflecting back to me about my Sun right now?
For me, this pairing revealed how I can see symptoms of being out of alignment with my self-worth (2nd) by the way I act in my closest exchanges (8th):
In my business: Sometimes it shows up as questioning my value when I share an offering — even one I’m deeply proud of, like the upcoming reopening of my virtual coven Spiral Within. I might respond by piling on extra work to “prove” myself, or retreating from visibility altogether.
In my relationship: It can feel like a fear of being “too much” instead of trusting the steady love that’s here. Becoming a stay-at-home mom has brought this tender edge into sharper focus, stirring old fears of being resented — even as I know, in my bones, that we’re building a life in full partnership.
The Moon doesn’t bring these fears to shame me — she shows me the cracks in my foundation so I can shine more light there.
You might notice your own version of this tonight. Where is your Sun shining from in your chart? And what is your Moon reflecting back to you about it?
Make This Full Moon Yours:
Go on a little treasure hunt in your birth chart and find 16° of Leo and 16° of Aquarius. Those are the exact places in your map where this moon is beaming her magic.
If you already know how to find that — lovely. Start exploring those houses and what they hold. Remember, we may see the Sun's light more clearly by how the Moon is reflecting it right now.
If you don’t know yet, there are two doors you can walk through:
Door One → My Astrology 101 PDF, just $10, which will teach you how to find anything in your chart forevermore.
Door Two → Join me live in Chart Your Magic on September 4th, and I’ll walk you through your chart and personal moon phases for free while we also explore your Shadow Work map through your Lilith, Chiron, and South Node placements.
Because knowing where 16° Leo is in your chart tells you where to tend your personal, wild light — and 16° Aquarius shows where that tending will ripple out into the wider web of your life.
I'm so curious how this Moon is showing up for you, and if this exploration of the Sun through the Moon is resonating with you right now -- shoot me a reply and let me know!
This Moon’s gentle reminders:
Balance over burnout — Mars in Libra says we can be passionate and also diplomatic. Take your time and take a breath.
Reflection before declaration — Mercury stations direct on Monday, August 11th, so communication may still be a bit crunchy into next week.
Curiosity as an anchor — Uranus might flip your perspective upside down, and sometimes that’s exactly how we see clearly.
This isn’t about rushing to make pronouncements. It’s about tending your own flame, knowing that the more you strengthen it now, the more steadily it will shine when you choose to share it.
